The weather was extremely hot. The ground cracks like in Tanzania during the dry season, it was hot as soon as the sun rises in Pai, Mae Hong Son – at 6am in the morning. To break that, we had to be up early to get to the waterfalls. That was the plan. Some little expedition to a nearby waterfall on some 30 minutes of biking.

We got there just early. The sun was up and was just starting to burn. Well it was a waterfall and we wanted a good pool. The most accessible watering hole was too normal. So we took a little trail following some pipes that were leading upwards to the water source. Yes – man made pipes were already snaking to the source of the waterfall for the human population.

Along the way, we spotted this – amazing black coloured ants with spikes on their backs.
